“Urban Legend, The Life and Legacy of C. Emlen Urban”. 

Gregory Scott is a local partner emeritus at RLPS (Reese, Lower, Patrick and Scott) Architects and now writes for the local newspaper

and is an expert on “The Life and Legacy of C. Emlen Urban.” His presentation about Urban is fast, smart, witty and just fascinating. 

If you are asking yourself who “Urban” is, imagine you are on a corner of any street in downtown Lancaster, now look around.   One or some or all of the buildings, were designed by Urban, Lancaster’s most notable architect. He was born right here in Lancaster and had over 600 commissions… an inspiring story, he graduated last in his class in HS which was the end of his formal education.
